The Story Village

What is The Story Village?

The Story Village is not traditional story time!

It’s an invitation to join a circle.

Humans have gathered around in circles since eternity.

Around fires, beneath trees, in homes, community halls, and gathering places, people have sat in circles to listen, learn, remember, celebrate, and make sense of the world together.

A circle has no head of the table. No front row. No back row.

In a circle, every person can see and be seen. Every voice matters. Every listener belongs.

Each Story Village gathering is built around a carefully curated circle of stories. Folktales, traditional narratives, picture books, personal reflections, conversations, and creative activities are thoughtfully woven together around a shared theme.

Participants experience the intersection, interaction and inter-connection of human stories.

Many leave with new memories, new conversations, and a renewed sense of connection to the people around them.

The Story Village Reviews

Here is what people think of The Story Village

Five-star rating

“Attended “The Story Village” today – “Father’s Circle” and loved speaking with Ritu about her own father and how his gift of storytelling became hers, how their life had been together before his recent death. Of course, I spoke of my father and his love of shared laughter with my mom. Dad now deceased 12 years leaving our family with warm shared stories at Cape Cod, etc.
